According to people who deal, legally, in salvia divinorum … sales have increased since Friday — in some cases up to 3 times the usual tally.
TMZ spoke with several head shops in the Los Angeles area and we’re told — not only have sales jumped — but many of the customers specifically asked for “the stuff Miley was smoking.” source: TMZ

On Tuesday, Californians will be voting on Proposition 19, which could legalize marijuana for recreational purposes. If enough voters say yes on Prop 19, one thing is for certain: alcohol sales would be affected now that consumers have found a new “legal” method to create a “diversion” for themselves.

Medical Marijuana Ads fueling Newspaper Growth

What would happen in the many communities now allowing medical marijuana had been a subject of much hand-wringing. But few predicted this: that it would be a boon for local newspapers looking for ways to cope with the effects of the recession and the flight of advertising — especially classified listings — to Web sites like Craigslist.

But in states like Colorado, California and Montana where use of the drug for health purposes is legal, newspapers — particularly alternative weeklies — have rushed to woo marijuana providers. Many of these enterprises are flush with cash and eager to get the word out about their fledgling businesses.

Schwarzenegger Signs Bill Decriminalizated Marijuana

It's not legalization yet, but decriminalization is definitely a step in the right direction. Well, semi-happy news for anyone who thinks our draconian anti-drug laws are a huge waste of money in a state that can ill-afford it. It's a shame that our Governator doesn't believe that we should legalize marijuana entirely, given his ... well...actions in his younger, body-building days.

New Castle County police said the legs belong to Delaware teen who was arrested Wednesday after he was found to be carrying a survival knife, a hammer, 7.5 grams of marijuana and two marijuana pipes.

FBI: Unruly passenger blames medical pot cookies

A San Francisco man claims he was high on a double dose of medical marijuana cookies when he screamed, dropped his pants and attacked crew members on a cross-country flight, forcing its diversion to Pittsburgh, the FBI said Wednesday.

Kinman Chan, 30, was charged in a criminal complaint with interfering with the duties of a flight attendant on allegations that he fought with crew members of US Airways Flight 1447 from Philadelphia to Los Angeles on Sunday. His federal public defender, Jay Finkelstein, declined to comment.

Crew members said Chan made odd gestures before he entered the plane's rear restroom shortly after takeoff and began to scream, according to the complaint.

Chan told the FBI that he "came back to reality" and exited the restroom, at which point the crew noticed his "pants were down, his shirt was untucked and all the compartments in the restroom were opened."
